I come from a family of artists: my father, a painter and sculptor, my mother, a fashion producer. I grew up in an environment where art was ever present. Since I was a little girl, I loved to draw, to do pottery, to design my clothes…

Probably because of that, for me, make up is an art. That is the way I feel about what I do, that is why I love it so much. The same happens when I realize I can transform somebody, help them to feel better, more beautiful. After working for quite a time, I have discovered that I enjoy a lot doing make up, not only those related to fashion and show business, but also the so called “social make up” (when a person is getting married, or going to a wedding, a party, some special occasion). That is art for me also, I am giving a service, something beautiful to someone getting ready to live a special moment.

This is the place where I stand when I work. My guidelines do not come as much from trends, or fashions, but from creation. Some people like to say that everything has already been invented. I believe that each one has a unique point of view and whatever is “out there” floods you with lots of images and things, that then surface as ideas. And this is what makes them original ideas.

In creation, originality and investigation have to go hand in hand with other important things like neatness and dedication. I love to be perfectionist in the utmost degree, to investigate and delve deeply in the conception and ideas of each work, until I find exactly what I am looking for.

I observe the person in front of me thoroughly. I feel we are both participating and that helps to do a good job.: you are getting in touch with another being, looking at her, or him, in a way that possibly no one ever did. This is somewhat intimidating and requires a good connection. Whenever I have the chance to, I adore to create the whole image (not only make up, but hairdo and clothes) because it is a manner of expression with infinite possibilities.

  Some work experiences
I started doing make up very naturally. As a girl I used to go with my mother when she was working and I loved to talk to the makeup artists and to peek into their make up cases, so full of gadgets and small things. I began playing, without quite knowing what to do or how to do it, searching some color, form, or image. Then one day, Marisa Weit gave me the opportunity to study and work with her. Afterwards I studied characterization with Oscar Mulet who introduced me to the world of special effects and body painting. When I finished High school at the National School of art as a high school graduate with artistic orientation I went to New York with my friend the photographer Gustavo di Mario, with whom I worked doing “books” for models belonging to the agency Woman and others. When I came back to Buenos Aires to go on with my study of fashion make up, I began to study and work at Regina Kuligosky’s study. During the same time I studied theatrical makeup and how to make wigs, headdresses and hats at the high school Saulo Benavente, a private institution belonging to people who work at the Teatro Colón. In the year 2001 I started to work alone, doing fashion campaigns, fashion shows, publicity, theater and musical shows During the year 2002 I studied fashion design with Delia Cancela and at the end of that year worked assisting her in the costumes of the play The indian galantes by Rameau, at the Colón Theater, directed by Gabriel Garrido. In the year 2003 I began to work with the photographer Gaby Herbstein, doing the make up, headdresses and wigs for the Fundación Huésped calendars (a real challenge). I still work with her as a makeup artist and also as a fashion stylist doing fashion campaings, publicity photos, theatrical billboards , c.d. covers . I also worked in the fashion industry with photographers like: Urko Suaya, Gustavo di Mario, Ceci Glick, Bob Lightowel and Raul the Chapeaurouge among others. I participated in advertisement and fashion campaigns such as Rapsodia, Uma, Lois (Spain), Fes (Chile), A Y not dead, Ksk. Blaqué, Orbital, YSL. Christian Lacroix, Kenzo, Garnier, Telex (Mexico), Coca Cola, Gancia, Lays, etc. I also worked at fashion shows for brands like Rapsodia, Trosman and Mariano Toledo (doing wigs), among others and worked for magazines such as Elle, Para Tí, Catalogue, Viva, Sophia and FTV Mag. I did the make up for the photos of the billboards at the Teatro Maipo for all the shows of Julio Boca y el Ballet argentino, Enrique Pinti, and Rita la salvaje and for other plays, namely: Le parents terribles from Jean Cocteau, El Señor Sloane from Joe Orton, Cuatro jinetes apocalípticos from Jose Pablo Feinman and RENT the musical of Jonathan Larson and dir. James Murray and Gabriel Goldman. During two years I was in charge of the make up in the Cabaret at the Hotel Faena, in the play El rebenque show, directed by Vivi Tellas and at events such as Red Passion (Campari), Lucky Strike, etc. I also did the make up and stylist in c.d. covers and shows for musicians such as Gustavo Cerati, Emmanuel Horvilleur, Virus, Emme and Adicta.
